"Don't believe the weather report!"
Tyler our oldest grandson is leaving Wednesday for two weeks. He is going to spend some time with his Marvin Grandparents in Virgina. I know that they will enjoy having him and he will enjoy being there with them. I did a very poor job of taking a picture of him today, he is of the age when cameras are no longer fun time to pose for.
Pat and I decided to take him fishing prior to his leaving for his vacation. I checked the paper for a boating forecast and it looked good. It stated 10 mph winds with a light chop. So all aboard we went and off to the bay we headed. Well much to my surprise it was and extra high tide and the wind was blowing 20+ mph and we had a good chop. This limited our spots to fish, we could not go to our favorite grouper hole. I tried a few places that I knew would be out of the wind. The picture that you see the Sunshine Skyway is called McGills bay. Well a bay it was, but without fish that would bite. We did have a good time as Tyler loves his one on one time with Pat. They listened to Rock music on the boat radio and discussed the songs. Of course Pat knew most of the songs and that tickles Tyler to no end. Pat and Sandy saw quite a few of the bands during the time they were all hot. Me, I just listened to it all, I am a country music kind of guy. It was nice to be with Tyler as he is growing up way too fast. I reminded him of the times when we would take him to Lake Okeechobee and he would sit on my lap and look at a fish book. We would be fishing but he wanted to learn all the names of the fish. I never realized how much I really did enjoy those times.
We hope to take Luke out while Tyler is gone. I hope we catch a better brake on the weather than today.
Be a Blessing to someone today!
Today's verse is .....“As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him.”- Psalm 18:30
