Time Has Flown By Too Quick
I was listen to the radio the other day and the Song "Little ole Dime" by Jim Reeves was playing. The song is about a man trying to find his girlfriend's number and says he has one little dime left. He hopes this little dime will be the one that connects him. My mind went blank, "a dime for a phone call". How long ago was that, and then I said to myself, when was the last time I saw a pay phone? All that started my memory rolling in third gear. Remember when....gas was .22 per gallon, you could go to the movies with a quarter in your pocket. You could get in get a coke and popcorn and have a penny left over. When I was in High School and my father would give me 3 bucks to go on a date. When I flashed that amount of cash the girl I was with probably thought that I was rich. 3 bucks would get you in a drive inn and you would have enough to eat a meal later on.
