Opp's Where are the Windows?

Today is just a beautiful day, the weather is just great. It is 1:30 pm and the temp is about 70, just does not get any better than that.

Today was my day to do the yard work, In the summer time it takes me two days to complete. The first day I trim and edge the yard, the next day I mow. Sometimes Pat shares the mowing with me. I just can not take the heat anymore, it just zaps me to nothing. But today is the kind of day that I can do it all in one day. After I finished Pat and I sat on the front porch for a while. After I ate lunch I watched the noon news and about fell asleep. I got my butt up and put on my walking shoes and did my afternoon walk.

When I got back home Pat told me that the window installers were here. But it is tough to install them when they have not been delivered. I call our contractor and told him about it. He said he will call them to see what the deal is. Anyway no new pictures to show you on the room as it is at a stand still.

Well that is about all for the day, I hope that you have a Blessed day and that you are a Blessing to someone else.

"For it is God's will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men. Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God.” (1 Peter 2:15-16)

Gloomy Day !

Today is another lazy day for me to do nothing, but I did my walk for the day. It is a rather gloomy today the sun shines then it rains a little mist.
I took my son-law car to a friend of mine to be work on. Doug’s car has 70,000 miles on it and he would keep it as it will be paid for next month.
The contractor told me that he should have the windows, door and framing completed next week. Now it will start to take shape and we can get ready for the drywall and finish work.
Well that’s about it for the day as I will need to get ready for another meeting tonight.
Have a Blessed day and be a Blessing to someone.
Encouraging Words
“[Do Not Love the World] Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world.” (1 John 2:15-16)

Tim Tebow...For Real!

Not much going on today, a good slow day to do nothing. I received a copy of this email and I want to share it with all of you.

Posted: Today 12:42 AM> Tebow the person (from a bulldog) (1 vote)> Hello,>

> I am a lifelong Mississippi State fan and have no strong feelings negative or otherwise towards Florida .> > However, a dear friend of my wife had an encounter with your quarterback Saturday morning.> > She has what could very easily be a terminal brain tumor. She is leaning on her faith in the Lord to get her through this and no matter the outcome, she is being extremely positive. She is only 26 and is having to deal with her own mortality. I can't imagine it is easy.> > Anyways, she has a live journal documenting her treatment and everything involved. She has a list of famous people she would like to meet or talk to before she dies. These include Oprah, Ric k and Bubba, and of course Tim Tebow.> > She is from nearby Columbus , MS and noticed a bunch of charter buses outside the hotel in town. She thought she would go in and just see if that was the Gator team. Turns out it was, and she ran into their strength and conditioning coach in the lobby.> > She explained her situation to the coach and even took off her hat to prove it. She said all she wanted to do was meet Tim. The coach said 'give me five minutes.' Five minutes later, she was ushered to a small conference room. When she opened the door, there was college football's golden boy Tim Tebow.> > Tim was very glad to meet her. He spent a good fifteen minutes talking to her about her treatment and her faith in God. I believe he even took a picture with her.> > I say all of this because in this day and age it is amazing that a Heisman Trophy winner, with two national titles and another possible one on the way, took time on game day to share a moment with a dear friend of ours who is dealing with a terrible illness. That is amazing.> > You guys have a great team. A great coach and great players everywhere.> > Your qb is phenominal and if at all possible this goes to further prove that he is an even better person.> > Gators, you have a good one and I just wanted to share that with you and let you know how much it meant to our dear friend.>
> Take care and God bless.> > <><> love all, worship one
Have a Blessed day.

Great Weekend

The weekend has flown by without any incidents for the Gallo family, which is good. We went to GT Bray field and watched our grandsons play flag football early Saturday morning. Doug & Judi Marvin (other grandparents) was there also. I think that they really enjoyed watching them play.

Pat and I also attended the Vanderbilt – Gator game over the weekend. Florida still is not playing all that well but they are still winning. They will play Alabama in Atlanta for the SEC championship. The winner of that game will surely play for the National Championship in the Rose Bowl.

As you can see the room is coming along very well at this time. Today we are waiting for and inspection so we can continue on. Pat will be glad when it is over; she seems to worry about every little thing going on. I don’t imagine us ever doing any major remodeling with our house. I overheard her telling someone over the phone, she wants new carpet in the bedrooms but not wanting to go through the hassle.

I have been watching the new storm “Ida” churning in the Gulf. I am sure when it hits land on Tuesday that it will be just a big rain storm. Seems awful late foe storms in the Gulf, the waters have cooled by now. I wanted to go fishing Wednesday but I am concerned about the weather.
Tonight is another meeting night for Pat and me. Our neighborhood is starting a “Neighborhood Watch program”. There will be one more meeting after this one and then we are done. Always seems like something is going on with us. Tuesday night is Manatee Hurricane radio show night. Wednesday will be that last neighborhood meeting night. Thursday will be a fundraiser for Bill Galvano who is running for State Senator in two years.
Today’s verse is: “Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.”- Isaiah 1:18
