Falling Behind
Well I have fallen behind on some of my Blogging, I guess I am getting lazy. The pictures above will start out with some basketball pictures of Luke in the Island league. His team did not win a single game during the regular season. His team had a lot of players including him which were 1st timers this year. Also they might have been the smallest team out there.
Buy they did finally win a game, guess what it was the first game of the playoffs. They played a great defensive game and scored enough to win as you can see on the scoreboard. That entitled them to play in the championship game, which they lost. That team had not lost a regular season game, they were well stacked with seasoned players. Luke was selected as an All star and got to play in the All star game which his team won. I am sure Luke will be back next year and he will be one of the seasoned players, we were very proud of his play
The next set of pictures is from the next week, actually this Monday. I had been out of town, I went fishing at Lake Okeechobee with some retired fireman friends of mine. As you can see there are no pictures as the fishing was not all that great. We caught a lot of bass but they were all very small.
Pat asked me if we could take the kids fishing on Monday which we did. You can see by the pictures that we caught a lot of fish. Tyler caught a nice grouper, black sea bass and a fish that is unknown to me.(black spot on tail) Maybe someonen will see it and tell me what the heck it was. Pat caught oyster fish and the rest of us caught Black Tipped Sharks, about 15 in all. Of course Tyler caught the most and the biggest. One of the pictures show a shark that fell off the hook and lannded on the deck. When he did I hollered "watch out they bite". What you can't see is my grandson Luke.....His eyes got as big as golf balls and he jumped onto the lounge chair over the captains steering wheel into the chair. I have never seen him move so fast, last night while I was trying to go to sleep I thought about it and laughed until it hurt.
Well that's about it for now, so have a Blessed day and be a Blessing to someone.
“But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,” -Philippians 3:20
I'm glad you're back blogging. I don't always comment, but I check at least 2 times/week to see what's new w/Gallos/Marvins. Boy I wish you had that boat when we were kids. I've always wanted to learn how to fish.
ReplyDeleteGreat news...yesterday I got my acceptance letter to graduate school!! I will soon be a school social worker with spec. ed. kids and then take on private clients in the evenings and weekends after I'm completely licensed to do so. There is a real need for counsellors who really understand what goes on in spec. needs families. I have been hard pressed to find good help for my family over the last 12 yrs. Wish me luck! I just may go for a doctorate after that!!! Hello to Darenda and whole familiy...xxooxx Jen
Jen, congrats to you! I am very proud of you and I know you will do a great job.
