One More Addition to the room

Well we have added one more item to our room, little by little we are getting there. I think the only things left are some pictures and etc to be hung on the walls. It has really made a real nice room and I hope that when the summer comes it will be cool. that was the main reason we did all of this in the first place. As you remember we removed our oak tree and the shade was gone, so was the cool room.

Pat and I had a nice week end with not a whole lot going on. We did not go to our Sunday School party, things just did not work out. We opted for a night out with dinner and a movie. Well now that sounds pretty fancy doesn't it? With this family it was supper at Chic Fillet at the mall and the movie was the $2 senior. Ha, last of the big spenders, I leave no rock unturned when it comes to treating my bride.

Saturday we hung the drapes and the did very little the rest of the day. That night we had the kids and Pat spent much of her time with them. I watched the Gator basketball game and finished a book that I have been reading.

Sunday we went to church and then out to lunch with the Newsomes. Got home in time to see the Gator girls play basketball and then watch the NFL playoffs. I think we watch too much TV but what the hey. I spent some time on the Gator web site for Manatee County, as I do the site for the club. My handy work can be seen at www.manateegatorclub.com. I really enjoy doing it as it keeps my mind doing something. At my age that seems to be important, I think!

You will noticed a link on the left side of the Blog. It says click here for the 60's. Judi Marvin who is my daughter Darenda's mother in law sent that to me. I think it is really neat, click on it and sit back and relax.

  1. Hi, Gene. Read your recent entry. Glad you enjoyed the "60's" Email message I sent. You could have at least said, that I was entirely too young to even know what this decade was about !! ;-)
