Paw Paws Place

I thought I better get the Blog done as I will be having my other eye done on Thursday. This past week I just had a grand time fishing with Pat and our good friends Wilburn & Peggy Newsome. Wilburn and I went down to Lake Okeechobee last Thursday morning. We spent the morning cleaning up the fish house and making beds. (fire dept training came in handy). Wilburn is a retired Battalion Chief from Bradenton. Peggy is retired from First Baptist Church of Bradenton, and you know Pat. Wilburn and I went bass fishing that afternoon and caught all we wanted. I could lie and tell you we caught at least 50, but we did not count them. The next morning we went early in the AM and were done by 10:30 as it was hot. But again we caught all we wanted, it was just great. The girls arrived at the lake house about 8 PM or so. We were so happy to see them as we had some one to turn over the maid work to...ha! We informed them that we would be getting up at 6 AM and would try to be on the lake by ...

I have had cataract surgery on my right eye. I will do the left in two weeks. So....I will be a little lax on getting stuff on my Blog. Take care and I will be back soon. Well I have fallen behind on some of my Blogging, I guess I am getting lazy. The pictures above will start out with some basketball pictures of Luke in the Island league. His team did not win a single game during the regular season. His team had a lot of players including him which were 1st timers this year. Also they might have been the smallest team out there. Buy they did finally win a game, guess what it was the first game of the playoffs. They played a great defensive game and scored enough to win as you can see on the scoreboard. That entitled them to play in the championship game, which they lost. That team had not lost a regular season game, they were well stacked with seasoned players. Luke was selected as an All star and got to play in the All star game which his team won. On Saturday we went to a wedding at the Frankleton Louisiana Country Club. Pat and Bob's niece Stacy was getting married. It was an outside wedding on a lake and it was beautiful. Also shown in the pictures are Jaime, Stacey's sister and her beautiful mom Rhonda. The picture of the two guys dancing is part of the wedding party, the one on the left is Stacey's brother Justin. The young couple holding the baby is Pat's sister Annette and her husband Luther. The baby is not hers but she does have 4 children and umpteen gran kids. I am glad her an Pat did not have a baby matching contest. It they had I am sure that I would not be writing this Blog today..ha! After the wedding we went by and looked at the building that use to have a pool hall in it. Bob had lived there prior to moving to Baton Rouge, the pool room was his business at that time.
