"Tribute to Heros"
Friday afternoon I attended a luncheon honors our Public Service hero's, Fireman, Military and EMS workers. We watched videos of past 911 events and some videos of the event itself. I will never forget that day when our country was attacked. The lives of everyone US citizens was changed in some way. I hope that we have also proved that if you mess with us we will stand tall and react. "God Bless America"!
As you can see my book case runnith over, I will be building a new and bigger one to replace it with. I really enjoy my reading, I am a big fan of James Patterson, John Grisham, Harlan Cobin and Linwood Barclay. They are my favorite authors that I read,
About the only things that are going on are Manatee and Florida football. The kids will be starting soccer soon and that will be great. I hope it cools off a little before it starts.
As you also can see I like to watch weird birds and this bird is one that I watch as he catches lizards and eats them. I wish I could move my neck the way he does, I would never miss anything ha ha.
For some reason I can no longer answer any comments on my Blog nor can I make comments on anyone else's. I have asked questions to Google and what ever they say does not work. So if you leave a comment and I don't respond don't feel bad I do read them.
Take care and have a Blessed day and be Blessed.
“Suffering for Doing Good] Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.” -1 Peter 3:8
Me again....Well glad to see you're still blogging! I'm in week 3 of grad school. OMG!!! I have so much respect for Master's recipients now. It is very intense. I have 5 classes each with tons of journal article reviews, at least 2 major papers in each, weekly homework assignments, group projects, interviews I must do with local policy makers, research, and about 75 pages of textbook reading a night to keep up! Oh yea...and then there's those 3 kids and the dishes in my sink and pile full of laundry :) I thrive on "proving myself wrong" though, so since at the moment I DON'T think I can do it, I plan of proving myself wrong.
ReplyDeleteMy field placement (or internship) is with an organization that reintroduces and reintegrates foster kids who have been court mandated out of their homes BACK into their homes. We supervise the visits as they ease back into being a "family unit". All I've done so far is screenings and orientation stuff. I haven't gone into any client's homes yet. I'm pretty nervous, because I know I'll want to scoop up all the kids and bring them home with me. I've been told to "put on my social worker hat" and separate my feeling from the job. Really??? We'll see how it goes....I'll keep you posted.
Love to all down there...xxooxxoo
