Windy Friday

Pat had planned a fishing trip for the boys as they were out of school on Friday. It did not pan out as planned for all of us. First, Luke had a Doctor's appointment and we were to pick him up at the dock when he was done. Then as we had suspected it was really windy and rough out in the bay. The water was so churned up that you could not see the bait. I threw my net several times over my chum but it was to no avail. We then left that spot and went to our Pin fish hole and fished for them. Pat and Tyler caught about 15 hand size pins and we headed to our Grouper spot. It was so rough that the water was flying over the bow of the pontoon so we turned around and headed back in. We decided to fish for more Pins until Luke called us to pick him up. Pat and Tyler caught 35 Pins and then the wind got worse. Luke was running late so we called them and told them we were coming back in. Luke was sad but Maw Maw took him shopping which took Care of it all. Then they spent the night which put the icing on the cake for them. Pat caught a needle fish and Tyler just likes to pose....

Manatee High School continues their winning ways but was a little sluggish last night.

On a night when its offense had five turnovers piled on top of a bunch of injuries, the Manatee High football team turned to its defense.
The response couldn't have been better. The Canes held Braden River to minus-4 yards rushing and 35 yards of total offense in securing a tougher-than-expected 24-7 victory over the host Pirates in a non-district game Friday night.
Manatee (6-0) played most of the night without star running back Mike Blakely, who is recovering from a bruised tendon and had five carries for 27 yards. Cord Sandberg, who was 14 for 14 passing last week, threw two interceptions as the Canes turned the ball over five times.
Have a Blessed week and be a Blessing to some one.
“May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.” (Psalm 19:14)
