A Different Stage of Life

These past two weeks have been an emotional roller coaster. I have been to the hospital several times visiting friends and went to a funeral. I have two friends who have had open heart surgery and one more will have it next week. It seems as though I am at the stage of life that these are the happening's of the time. John Cummings had a valve replacement, Harold Floyd had a 5 way-by-pass and Harold Morris will have a valve replacement. Bev Rise a lady whom went to school the same time I did at Manatee passed away yesterday. her daughter is a very good friend on my daughter Darenda. We also got a phone call from Pats sister Annette who informed us that her husbands sister passed away also.. So it has not been all that great of a March this year. On a minor detail I went to the dentist (which I hate to do) with a tooth ache. He told me root canal or pull it out, geeez, I don't have they many teeth to spare. And I hate root canals, so we will see.

I am totally surprised that the Gators have made it to the NCAA play offs. I do not think that they are deserving of it at all. Of course I will be watching the game and rooting for them, but they will not last long. My son-law Doug is headed to New Orleans to see ND play, his best friend is a ND grad and they will make the trip today. I watched the Gator Baseball team whip FSU last night yea.... Today at 4 pm the girls softball team will play and I will be watching them.

We gave our baseball tickets away to a neighbor for today's game. Smart move as it turns out, looks like rain. Friday we will go see the Boston Red Sox play, it is a sell out so it will be fun. Sunday I have four tickets and Pat, Darenda and the boys will go after church. That will be a fun outing for all of them. Saturday night Pat and I will go to St Pete to see our first ever in life hockey game. There are 23 Gators going and we have a suite to watch it from, sounds like fun, we will see!

I sprayed weeds yesterday in the yard, I looked at the leaves and said..."not today". I will be so glad when they stop falling, this has been the worst year. I am sure it has a lot to do with the real cold weather we have had. Well enough babbling for the day... have a real Blessed day and be a Blessing to some one!

“[A psalm of David.] The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.” (Psalm 23:1-3
