"CHAMPIONS"

Today was a fantastic day for Tyler Marvin, his team won the championship 41-27.
This Saturday morning at 11 AM parents and grand parents gathered to see the final game of the season. This was what the kids had played their hearts out for all year, the Championship game. And it was a classic in the first half, each team scored when ever they had the ball. But in the second half Tyler's team shut the other team down with great defense, I must say that my grandson Tyler had a great part in the success of it. He broke up several passes that could have gone for touch downs. You can see by some of the photos his ability to stick with his man. He also was very, very good to react and get off the ground to break up passes.
The photos start with some of Tyler's fans, mom, dad, brother Luke, Maw Maw and his biggest cheer leader and friend Will Robinson. And of course me, I am behind the camera so you can not see me, "Duh! As you go down the photos you will see pregame practice,Tyler catching a pass. Then you will see action shots of the game with Tyler involved in showing his skills. You can see in one of the pictures his face showing how much effort he puts in the game. I am so proud of him I just can't say enough. Maybe when you get old you just start re-living your life again and remembering. Finally you can see Tyler with his Championship Medal hanging around his neck. I can assure you he will remember this day for a long time. To say that you played and contributed to a team championship is worth remembering. Congratulation's Tyler, great Job we are all proud of you. Tonight he gets his choice of restaurants for a championship dinner.
Well, I have been truly Blessed today and I hope you have been also.
“You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love.” (Galatians 5:13)

What a Beautiful Day for Fishing.

Today just was perfect, Pat and I were on the water by 7 AM. We headed to our favorite spot to catch bait for the day. Normally I use Jack Mackerel and bread for chum, but today I use a special chum,, It is supposed to be the best thing going, it is called Capt something magic chum. Well I am not impressed with it and I will go back to the old stuff. We had a tough time getting bait as I went from spot to spot looking for shiners. We settled in on just using Pin fish, and their size was not all that great. But that is part of the spirit of fishing.

As you can see we had a lot of fun and the weather was just great. we caught a variety of fish. we caught grouper, flounder, black sea bass and oyster fish. We had lunch on the bay and came in a little after noon. Then we spent about an hour cleaning the boat up and all the equipment. Now it is just lazy time for he rest of the day. On Saturday I will be writing about Tyler's championship football game and will have pictures included. Darenda just called and is bringing over some pictures of Luke who was in some sort of a track meet today.

Annie Belle...if you are reading this call your brother Bob and show him what he is missing by not coming down to visit us.

Have a Blessed day and be a Blessing to someone.

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Romans 15:5-6)

Long Week

Pat and I had a long week this past week, Saturday was the first night we had to stay home and rest.

Thursday night we went to a 100 Club dinner. This club helps and honors all law enforcement officers in Manatee County. One night a year we select the officer of the year. This year we selected a city of Bradenton officer, which was nice. Friday night we went the Manatee Players with Bob and Sue Sweat. We saw Gypsy which I thought was not one of their best productions.

Saturday was a torrid schedule for Pat. Her day started out with going to Robinson Preserve with the Gator Club for a cleanup day project. She left there in time to go see Tyler play football. The picture you see is Tyler fixing to catch his first Td pass. He normally is involved in mostly defensive plays. This was a playoff game and they change things up a little. Great pair of hands “look out Manatee HS here come Tyler”. Of course I missed it as I was at the 100 club cook out. Once a year we also cook steaks and chicken for all the officers and their families. We cooked and served about 600 meals and I was worn out when I got home. The picture of Luke is him receiving his end of the year trophy for baseball. He had an outstanding year, he received the game ball twice during the season. We were all real proud of him and the year ended with them in the playyoffs.

Sunday we were invited over to Doug and Darenda’s home for supper. Doug’s parents were there and we had a nice visit and meal. Stone Crab claws, Shrimp and all the making’s was the menu. Mr. Tyler helped his dad crack the stone crab claws for all of us, which made is great.
I hope you can make sense out of all the photos. Just put your thoughts with the picture and some of my comments.

Gators took three games from Georgia and now play SC next week. That week end will seal it up for the Eastern division championship. “Go Gators”!
Have a great day and be Blessed today and be a Blessing to someone.
