Cold and Raining

Getting ready to steal 3rd, after his double! Fielding a hit, throwing him out out 1st.

Getting ready to field a hit. Hitting a double...see the ball!

Today we were planned to watch Luke play baseball at GT Bray. The forecast was cold and rain, they were right on target. It was 46 degrees and a slow drizzling rain, the kind that soaked you to your bones. The brave (idiot) coaches waited until everyone was soaked before they called the game. I am sure there will be many little sick boys this week end. They use a pitching machine and you could see that when it is wet IT DON'T WORK! Why they waited so long is beyond comprehension.

We did get to see him play Monday night and I have put some pictures on the Blog for you to see. This is Luke's first year of pitching machine so it will be interesting to see how he adjust. He did hit a nice double in his first game. Tyler will be starting Flag football soon, I think he has found his niche. He really played well last year and I am anxious to see how well he has progressed.

Have a nice day and be sure and watch the Gators whip up on Georgia at 4 PM today. Have a Blessed day.

Vacation Was Great !

As you can see I have not been Blogging for a while. Pat and I took a little trip with our dear friends Gary & Harriet Gregory. Each year we all go to the mountains in February and rent a cabin. We all go in search of snow and cold weather, this year we were not disappointed at all, as you can see by the photos.

The day we left was on a Sunday and about three hours on the road was received a phone call. The call was from the people whom we rented the cabin from. They informed us that they thought we should go back home and plan the trip another day. They told us that its was presently snowing and going to get worse. All that did was get us excited, we told them that going home was not an option.

We arrived on Monday afternoon and was able to get up the mountain and into our cabin. There was many signs that they had a real snow the day before. That night it was a cold night and we awoke to 19 degree weather and snow. Lots of snow and we opted to stay around the cabin that day. we had planned ahead and had all the supplies we needed, just relaxed and stayed comfortable around the fire.

We did get about a few days for the girls to do their thing, Gary and I stayed in the car most of the time as that was the warmest place. Although we did find a big sporting store outside of Ellinjay. We found a real nice Italian restaurant one night and had a great supper.

On the way home from the mountains we went by my Daughter and son in laws home. They live in Newnan Ga which is a real neat town. We visited for a while and then went into town and had a wonderful lunch at Moma Lucias, "where else'?

I will post some pictures without captions for you to look at, but I think you will see we had a great time.

Have a great day and be Blessed. “Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matthew 22:37-39)
