"Well" It's about time !

Yes I know I have not been writing my Blog like I should have. I could give you some excuses but they would not be the truth. It has been a combination of not feeling like it and being on vacation and of course being ever so busy at City Hall....talk about stretching the truth...ha

CAPT GLENN DAVIS

This has really been a bad year for some of my friends in the fire service. We lost our Fire Chief here in Bradenton in January. I went to his memorial service at the Florida Fire Chiefs meeting in July. There were also three more chiefs that I know that had passed away also. And then here locally we have lost two men that I worked with for years. Capt Glenn Davis who past away last month. Then I read in the paper that Bill Juregens who I went to high school with and also worked with him on the FD past away, he live in Tenn.

Pat and I went off for a little vacation in the mountains. We visited with Gary and Harriett Gregory in NC. We had a nice time as we always do when we are with them. I tried playing a little golf, first time in three years and it showed. I wished I could show you a lot of pictures but I can't. I did take some of a humming bird but it did not turn out all that great.

We left there and went to visit our daughter Sandy and hubby James. We spent labor day week end with them and had a good time. We played cards and watch football (what else) and we went to an auction in Loganville Ga. That was really neat, I had never been to one and it was cool to see all that money being spent. There is no economic problems at that location!

The Gators won there first game 41 - 3 but they did not play anyone either. Manatee went up to Onley Md and got cheated and lost the game. My grand kids will start outdoor soccer soon so I will have plenty to write about.

Anyway, nice chatting with my few readers and I hope to continue with some nice Blogs.

Have a Blessed day and be Blessed.
