Soccer Time

So far this summer has been pretty active for the kids, which makes it active for everyone. Tyler and Luke both took golf lesson at the country club for several weeks. Tyler went to Atlanta for a mission trip with his youth group from church. Luke and Tyler both have attended summer bible school. Tyler is presently in Tuscaloosa Alabama with his mom. Darenda went to a recruiting class as she recruits in the Bradenton area. Tyler went along and was given a tour of the college. They both were going to donate some labor in the Tornado damaged area but it was cancelled because of bad weather.

Luke is presently playing indoor soccer at the Island youth center. Doug is coaching and Tyler helps out with what ever is needed. Luke is doing really well as he has scored many goals in their first three games, his team is in first place. Of course with Coach Doug coaching them up they better win, ha. There was a bad call the other night and by Doug's expression as you can see the ump was wrong. The ump finally figured it out and reverse his call.

Have a Blessed day and be a Blessing to someone.

Fishing Trip Number Two "4th of July"

Well, I am really excited about putting this Blog together. I took my son-in-law and his beautiful wife and sons fishing along with his brother Drew and his beautiful wife and son. We all had a great time I believe the kids really enjoyed it. Fishing was not all that great but the fellowship was wonderful. Luke caught the only shark of the day, the tide was wrong and the water was dirty. Maybe next time we can really pull a few monsters into the boat.

Drew was able to catch a few shots with his camera. I am proud to show you the slide show he put together for us to see.

4th Of July Week

Our daughter Sandy and her husband James spent the week of the 4th with us and we had a great time. As you can see we got some fishing in, we went out twice and had a ball. As you can see we caught a variety of fish. We caught Black Tip Shark, Hammerhead Shark, Trout, Cat Fish, Blow Fish, Snapper and Grouper.

James got his first taste of what a cat fish sting is all about. I also received a few stings so all was shared. I was able to make my son-law feel humble, I stuck a circle hook into my finger and I made him pull it out with pliers. I know it hurt him more than it did me...yea right!!!!!.

Sandy and James took a day to visit the St Pete\Tampa area. They settled into one of the Columbia restaurants for supper. We all went to a couple of Sandy's favorite restaurants, Demetrios and the Seafood Shack in Cortez while they were here.

On the fourth we stayed home and grilled steaks which is my favorite food. James was able to get a few rounds of Texas Hold'um at "One Eyed Jacks" during his stay. I am not sure but I think he may had helped increase our economy in our area.

We hope to see them in Gainesville in September for the Florida-Tenn game if I can get tickets. If not we will see them at thanksgiving time in the mountains. We really enjoyed having them visit us, better for me letting James do the driving...ha.

When I get my pictures together I will have another Blog for this wonderful week. The pictures will be of Luke playing Soccer and the Marvin family fishing also.

Have a Blessed week and be a Blessing to someone today!
