"You Caught What"?


Pat checked to weather on Thursday and said "lets go fishing Friday". Well I have bee happily married for over 48 years and when momma says let go fishing, fishing we go. I have to tell you that it was a beautiful day and a good choice to go. Catching bait was another thing, just could not find any. So after an hour I gave up and went and bought some live shrimp for us to use. As you can see it was a clear and calm day on the bay and we had a great time.


We cruise out to our favorite spot to fish, lately it has not produced much. We may have to take a day just looking for a new spot to catch. Like my brother in law Bob Garrison always says, there fishing and there is catching. You can see that the size of the fish was not all that great, nothing to keep. These were Black Sea Bass, really great tasting but way too small to keep.




Now this was the interesting catch of the day. I have never in my entire life of fishing ever watch anything like this. Pat and I moved over to a channel maker wanting to see what we would catch. Well we saw, and man was it ever funny to see. Pat hooked a squid and every time she pull it partially out of the water is spewed water out its "whatever". Really was a blast to watch, we laughed and laughed at it.



That night we went to the Island to watch Luke play flag football team. I believe his team is undefeated and leading the league. I am amazed how he can find his Target and throw a perfect spiral. He threw again for two touch downs, perfectly thrown passes. The other night he was 3 f0r 5 with the 3 he completed were for TD's. Look out coach Kinnan you have another QB coming to Manatee HS.

Luke's Picture Taking





Last night was another night of flag football, with the exception of a new photographer. Luke was not playing last night so decided that he should take pictures of his brother playing football. I think he did a great job, as Tyler did playing. Luke did stray a little as he wanted to take pictures of his two grandmothers. As you can see, grandma's love to pose for grand kids.
The game was exciting as Tyler's team won 30 - 18 and the kids were all happy. Doug's mom Judi was heading back to Virginia to the real cold weather today. So we bid her adios last night and we headed home for the evening. Tyler plays again Wednesday night and Luke plays Friday night. I will miss the Wednesday night game as I have a city council meeting.
It would be nice to have some day time games as my camera does not do well with poor lighting. But I am just so glad that they are playing and having fun, that's what counts.
