Rain, Rain and Rain

We have had a dry spell but we are catching up real fast. Since the beginning of the week I have had over 3 inches of rain at my home. But I was able to mow the yard in between the showers and I realized had bad we needed it.

Wednesday night we were out on the Island for another cold damp night of flag football. This time we got to share it with my son in laws parents Doug and Judi Marvin. They are down from Virginia for a couple of days to enjoy the GREAT FLA CLIMATE....surprise! It was very nice for the boys to have parents and both sets of grandparents watching. And they both came through with flying colors with their playing skills.

Yesterday we had the tough job of selecting an interim Fire Chief to direct the FD operations. We have selected Deputy Chief Chuck Edwards who has been with the department 22 years. We now have to select a replacement for Chief Mark Souders who passed away January 5th of this year.

I watched the Gator's basketball team tumble and stumble to a victory over Auburn last night 45-40. Geeeezzz what a terrible game for both teams. That amount of points should have been scored in the first half by each team.

Well enough blabbering for the day I am off to the gym to help me stay in shape. What kind of shape you ask?......well I really don't know but I did wake up this morning and I am on the right side of the grass....so..!

Have a Blessed day and be a Blessing to some else.

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.” (Galatians 6:7-8
