Bummer!

Well I just finished watching the Gators lose in the first round of the NCAA tournament. They lost 99-92 in double overtime to BYU. Florida had their chances to win but let it get away from them. Oh well, next up is Gator Baseball and they are doing pretty fair right now. Speaking of BB, tonight we will go see Luke play his BB game.

Pat is outside raking leaves right now and I am sitting on my butt. I told her that I was going to pick them up with the mower in the morning but she wants to rake. It is a cool day for working outside.

Friday we will go to a Pirates game and maybe see them win, that would be a change. Friday night the Gators BB team will be playing on TV. So you know what I will be doing friday night. Well I better get going and watch some more basketball, life is tough. (for Pat)

Take care and be Blessed.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13)

A Different Stage of Life

These past two weeks have been an emotional roller coaster. I have been to the hospital several times visiting friends and went to a funeral. I have two friends who have had open heart surgery and one more will have it next week. It seems as though I am at the stage of life that these are the happening's of the time. John Cummings had a valve replacement, Harold Floyd had a 5 way-by-pass and Harold Morris will have a valve replacement. Bev Rise a lady whom went to school the same time I did at Manatee passed away yesterday. her daughter is a very good friend on my daughter Darenda. We also got a phone call from Pats sister Annette who informed us that her husbands sister passed away also.. So it has not been all that great of a March this year. On a minor detail I went to the dentist (which I hate to do) with a tooth ache. He told me root canal or pull it out, geeez, I don't have they many teeth to spare. And I hate root canals, so we will see.

I am totally surprised that the Gators have made it to the NCAA play offs. I do not think that they are deserving of it at all. Of course I will be watching the game and rooting for them, but they will not last long. My son-law Doug is headed to New Orleans to see ND play, his best friend is a ND grad and they will make the trip today. I watched the Gator Baseball team whip FSU last night yea.... Today at 4 pm the girls softball team will play and I will be watching them.

We gave our baseball tickets away to a neighbor for today's game. Smart move as it turns out, looks like rain. Friday we will go see the Boston Red Sox play, it is a sell out so it will be fun. Sunday I have four tickets and Pat, Darenda and the boys will go after church. That will be a fun outing for all of them. Saturday night Pat and I will go to St Pete to see our first ever in life hockey game. There are 23 Gators going and we have a suite to watch it from, sounds like fun, we will see!

I sprayed weeds yesterday in the yard, I looked at the leaves and said..."not today". I will be so glad when they stop falling, this has been the worst year. I am sure it has a lot to do with the real cold weather we have had. Well enough babbling for the day... have a real Blessed day and be a Blessing to some one!

Beautiful Weekend

You just cannot ask for any better weather than this past weekend, it was beautiful. On Saturday morning we went to the park and watched Luke play baseball. Very soon we will have to split time between Tyler playing flag football and Luke playing baseball, but that is what grandparents do. Sunday was a nice quiet day, went to church and then went to lunch at Applebees. After lunch I watched the SEC title game which was a thriller between Ky and Miss St. After the game I read for a couple of hours and relaxed.

That night Pat went out with her girlfriends to the Players for a fundraiser type event. I took Tyler to his church program that night and the went and picked him up later. I got to watch a little of the NCAA selection program, I was shocked that Fla made it in. They would have been better off in the NIT, they would last longer. They just don't have that perimeter shooter that they need.

Today Pat and I will go to a Pittsburgh spring game, the weather should be great. Pat is a real Pittsburgh fan, me naw....Dodgers when I use to love baseball. Now I just really enjoy watching the college's play, especially my Gators. They seem to still play for the love of the sport and not just the $$$.

Have a Blessed day and be a Blessing to someone to day.

then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:10,12)
