Rain, Rain Go Away!

Well I know I told you guys that I was going
fishing with my grandsons at Lake “O”. But as you can see the weather is really not all that great. It is 8:40 in the morning and my garage lights are still on (photo cell). The sky is really gloomy and has been raining off and on. Looking at the potential bad weather at the Lake Pat and I decided not to chance it.

As you can see we had a little vandalism in the neighborhood last night. There were several mail boxes that looked like this one found. Also they took up a flashing warning sign and moved it away from where it was warning people. The irony of this is that we have just formed a rather large neighborhood watch program. We have signs all over the place (including my yard) that “we are watching”. Until we did that I cannot remember any problems like that, I guess it is a challenge to kids, oh well..

Yesterday morning at our classmate’s breakfast we had 11 old farts there. As usual it was a great time for all of us. I wish we could get more guys to come as there are many who live here. But we will enjoy who does come and we will talk about those who don’t (ha) I understand that the girls who meet the same day for lunch also had a real nice group. It is hard to fathom but I have to describe them as a bunch of sweet old ladies ha ha…

It is time to get on with whatever I am going to do today. I have already been to the lab and had my blood work done so now I am free. I know tonight we are going to a Sunday school dinner at the home of Keith Clark. So I guess I will have to be on my best behavior or Pat will whomp me! Whomp is short for “whip my bu..”

Please be Blessed today and be a Blessing to someone!
Our hearts are heavy for those affected by the earthquake in Haiti, as well as the families who are dealing with the devastation from afar. It is our prayer that sufficient aid is given to Haiti as they recover and that the hearts of those who have lost loved ones find healing through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Happy 75th "Bob"

Yesterday was my brothers 75th birthday; we took him and his wife out to supper. We had a great time visiting the past years of our child hood. It was really amazing how many things we remembered. There were something’s better forgotten but we just laughed and had a ball. His daughter Lisa found out where we were eating and had many balloons at the table. (She lives in Seattle) It is really hard to fathom that time has flown by so quickly, but it has.

Now that I have ordered a cord of wood it will be warm the rest of the year. I don’t think that it is fair so come on winter bring it on. We have our monthly High School classmate breakfast in the morning. It is always great to see these guys; of course it is really great to be seen. We get caught up on things that have happen to each of us in the past month. I can’t believe all those guys are so old…ha.

Time to get ready for another day on the political front. So off to shave and shower for another day. Otherwise I am out of things to say tonight….take and be Blessed.
“[Trials and Temptations] Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.” (James 1:2-3)

WOW...Looking Good!

Ok, this room is about 90% completed; there are a few items that will go on the wall. Girly stuff for the windows and that will be it. So now, no excuses for those who cannot leave messages on my Blog. I will make it easy for you; write your comment to gatorgallo@gmail.com.

The weather here is just beautiful and we now feel like we live in Florida again. Pat and I are going to Lake Okeechobee with our grandsons for the week end. I hope to bring back many pictures of fish that they will catch. (positive hinking)
Have a great day and be a Blessing to someone and be Blessed.

We are getting there!

This is the first picture to be hung in the new room. This picture was painted by my daughter Sandy. We think it is beautiful and I am glad we finally hung it up for all to see. As you can see we are staring to move some items into the room. Pat has a real neat coke collection which she has had for many years.

This piece of furniture was a throw away. “Walla” with a little TLC it is like new. It will fit in with the rest of the furniture that is in that room.

Today I was able to chop up some starter wood just in case it gets cold again. We have a fresh supply of wood in the back yard and we are ready.

This past week end Pat and I went to Jacksonville for a funeral. We lost a very dear friend who we dearly loved. Her name is Nell Williamson the wife of Jim Williamson. They had been married for 56 years and she will be missed by all.

My brother will turn 75 on Tuesday and I will take him out for a birthday dinner. We are all really getting older too quick; I can hardly believe that he is that old.

Well…..have a Blessed day and be a Blessing to someone today.“No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.” (1 Corinthians 10:13
