A Cold Forecast for Bradenton

It is not to often that you will see a fire in my fire place, Sometimes I turn the AC down to 60 so I can light a fire. But this fire is for warmth, my feet and hands stay cold. The weather man has forecast 30 degrees to night with a hard freeze. To you folks up north I know that is a breeze. Let me tell you that in my yard that is too cold for "ole folks". My daughter Sandy who lives in Newnan Ga with her hubby James are really cold. She emailed and told me it was snowing and the low was 13. Yea for them, enjoy, enjoy I say....That snow you see is in their front yard. I think they might be colder than we are down here! But none of us are as cold as the little kitty that you see. Double click on the kitty and you will see just how cold he is.

Doug and Darenda are on their way home from the Orlando Airport as I am writing this. They called us from the Denver Airport about 2:45 PM to day. When they get back they will see a new look for Luke. As you can see he lost his first tooth while they were gone. I understand that dad told him not to give it to the tooth fairy. He said that the tooth fairy only comes when mom and dad are home. Good thinking for a Yankee from Va, well I guess that is not Yankee grounds.

It is 10:20 PM and it is time for me to read a little and then try and get some sleep. Pat will be home tonight after the Marvin's get home. In the morning I will going to the clinic to get these stitches out of my finger. Its about time as I have more wood to cut, yes wood not fingers. I knew what some of you were thinking, but it is not going to happen. GOOD NIGHT!

Say your prayers and be Blessed.

Seek good, not evil, that you may live. Then the LORD God Almighty will be with you, just as you say he is. Hate evil, love good; maintain justice in the courts. Perhaps the LORD God Almighty will have mercy on the remnant of Joseph.” (Amos 5:14-15)

Last Big Game of the Year.

Well it is another cold day here in sunny Florida. But not as cold as my daughter Sandy’s home is. She emailed me today telling me that it will snow at her home on Friday. OoooH I wish I could be there, “Yea right”!

Got these pictures from my daughter Darenda who is out at the Rose Bowl. They went out to see the Nat’l Championship game. The picture includes some of her buds who went to Alabama with her. And of course her hubbie Doug who is in “Hog Heaven”. He is a real die hard Bama fan, but does not scream as loud as Darenda at the games.

Pat has one more night of staying with the grand kids then its back to me. I miss her not being here but I know she loves being with the kids. And they really love having her there with them.

I have to get ready for another club meeting tonight, that’s two in a row. I guess it is better to keep busy so you don’t stiffen up and crumble.

Take care and be a Blessing to someone today and be Blessed yourself.
“Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” (Ephesians 5:1-2)

Another Cold day

The weather did not dip as low as they said it would, but it was cold. The weather man said it would get colder during the week. They even said that they might have snow in the panhandle.

Got this picture from my daughter Sandy. James and Sandy went to the Sugar Bowl and had a great time. They said they want to go back to New Orleans and spend some time there. They had quite a busy couple of days. They went to the Chick Fillet Bowl to see Tenn play (James team) and then went down to the Sugar Bowl. Right now my youngest daughter Darenda is in Calif for the National Championship game. I heard from her this AM and they are having a ball. I am sure I will have some pictures to share soon.

Still waiting for Pat to pick out carpet so we can finish the room. She has been so busy with the boys that it will have to wait. It will be nice when it is completed.

Have a Blessed day and be Blessed.

“[Be Holy] Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed.” (1 Peter 1:13)

Brrrrrrrr Cold Florida Weather

Well the cold front has hit us, but not as hard as up north. I was able to have a fire in the fire place yesterday. Looking at my wood pile I need to move some from the main stock pile. The weather man says it will be in the 30's for the lows the rest of the week.

"Hey coach" what do you really think about that 75 foot winning shot. I think this picture tells it all, wow what a finish. here is where you can read what happened. Click on this http://gatorzone.com/story.php?id=17186. I see that Hayden is going to the NFL draft, I think that is just the beginning for Florida. Next year will be a brand new year and team. It should be interesting for Gator fans, it will give them something to talk about all year.

I have been trying to get some work done around the house dealing with odds and ends. This taped up finger with the stitches is really in the way. But what I can't do now I will get done later.

I wish the weather would clear up some as I would love to take Pat fishing. We will know a little more after this next doctor appointment. I know she will start her radiation treatment and we will be able to plan things arround that. She has really been wanting to go to the lake and I have also. Today she is taking care of the boys, it is the last day of Christmas vacation. Then she will keep them for a few days as their parents go to the Ala - Texas game at the Rose Bowl.

You have a Blessed day and be a Blessing to someone today.
