Saturday Morning, Yard work complete!

















Well the weather was nice early this morning so I got out and finished the yard work that was started Friday. The top picture is my Little helper, hes always here to help me as he keeps the neighbors cats and dogs for using this area as pit stop! ha.. The left is before and the right is after, the only difference I see is the before shot looks blurred. As I was finishing up a neighbor and his wife walked buy and commented how nice the yard looked. So....I bowed my chest up and said thank you then let out my breath and went in the house.


We ate supper at the Sign Of The Mermaid restaurant on the Island last night. The food was very good, I had broiled Maui Maui with veggies and a cup of Grouper Gumbo...ummmmm good. The place was a little spooky for me as I told mom it is the house of a girl that I use to date in high school. Thank goodness the ghost of her father did not show up, I would have run like the devil ha ha.


Going to go to Lowes today and get some things for the yard. I need to build a little concrete ring around your moms new bush that you see in the picture, it is a Camellia Bush with white flowers. We are not sure that it will grow this far south, my daughter Darenda brought it home from Alabama in April. I need to put down some Scott's fertilizer with weed killer in it in some areas of the yard. But that will all be another project for another day.

Grey Skies Above

I was awaken this morning by grumblings in the sky, so when I checked it out the fishing trip would have to wait. We will try and do it on Monday, I don't like going out on the week end as there are too many folks on the water. This week end will be extremely bad as there is a Red Fish contest going on.

I did notice that baseball at the college level (which I love) will be on TV at noon today. Maybe I will get some time to watch it, although the yard needs mowing. Not much going on other than school is out and Pat will have the boys today. Yesterday when Luke (the Little guy) came home he told me, "I am officially a 1st grader now." I told him that he would be driving soon, he just smiled and said "Paw Paw......."

Another Day

This is our contribution to the flower world. This is a day Lilli that was dug up in Rock Hill, SC and planted in Bradenton, Fla. (looks better here, right?)
I had a real busy day yesterday with meeting's early in the morning, then lunch with my retired firefighters at Beef's. We had a great group show up, we talked about old fire house stories which get bigger and better each month. But it is good to see everyone each month, everyone seems to be getting along just fine, just getting old.

It was a boring night last night now having any college sports to look at. But I will be able to catch up this week end. Pat and I are planning on taking the boys fishing on Friday so I hope to have a picture to share. It is 60% chance of rain but I think it will be in the late afternoon.

Well I am off to Lowes and the CVS for some dad shopping. I will go to city hall today for the morning and read the local fish wrapper to see if the were at the same meeting I was.

"Bummer" Lady Gator's Lose!




Well my week is a bummer as my Lady Gator's last the 2nd game last night. But "congratulations to Washington Huskies for winning they deserved it. Here is just a little about my Gator's we are so proud of them.



Senior Stacey Nelson (Los Alamitos, Calif.) struck out five and allowed one walk and six hits in her 6.0 innings. She ended her career with 136 wins which was sixth in NCAA record books, second in Southeastern Conference history and first in the Florida books. Her 1,116 career strikeouts ranked fourth in SEC history and first at UF.

Nelson and sophomore Megan Bush (Anaheim Hills, Calif.) were named to the WCWS All-Tournament team for their performances. Nelson tallied 36 strikeouts in 30 innings. She allowed 22 hits, only two for extra-bases hits, both doubles. Bush recorded three hits, two for home runs, including the game-winner against Michigan.

Lady Gator's Whipped!


Well my poor Lady Gator's had it handed to them last night as Washington's pitcher (Lawrie) shut them down in order, Fla lost 8-0. But they can come back tonight if they get their stuff together.
My home computer took a turn for the worst yesterday. Well truthfully I screwed it up, but it is fixed today. I had installed Explorer 8 but it screwed up some things such as my Blog. When I tried to remove it I guess I push some wrong keys and it messed me up.
Tonight is my Gator club meeting and then I will rush home to watch the Lady Gator's play at 8 PM. I hope they win and continue on. The men's baseball team will play So Miss on Saturday in Gainesville in the Super Regional's.
My eyes have settled down today after a nights rest, man I hate to have them dilated. So I can get everything done today that I should have done yesterday. have a Blessed day!

God's Looking at Us

Well Gods eye brings up what I did this morning. I went to a Retina specialist to see if I was going to have surgery on my left eye. It was decided by me and my Doctor to wait 6 months and check it again. That suited me just fine as I really not crazy about them taking my eye ball out and working on it.

Well ,both the Gator men and Girls continue with their ball playing. The girls beat Bama last night 6-5 and will start the Championship series tonight at 8 PM against Washington. The men slammed Miami 16-5 to continue their quest for the final four in Omaha.

My eyes are still dilated so it is a problem on the computer so it will be short today.

HOW MAJESTIC IS THAT ?

Gator Girls beat Bama 6-5 with a base loaded home in the bottom of the 7Th inning.

Florida Girls will play for the national championship starting Monday.

Day of Rest














We will go to church in a few hours and then just take the rest of the day off. There is a lot of Girls softball on TV today so I am sure I will be in the chair most of the day. Florida plays Ala at 3pm and Ga plays Washington at 1 pm. There are 3 SEC schools in the final four, (how great is that). Fla and Washington are undefeated so both have to lose twice not to go to the final.

We took the boys to the Rays baseball game last night and then they spent the night with us. They stayed up late so they and their Maw Maw are still in the bed. That's all for now so have a "Blessed day".
